Activity Report: July 2001

1. Projects
   1. System Development continuting for the District Industry Centres.
   2. System Development continuing for the Commercial Taxes Sector.
   3. Public Grievance Redressal & Monitoring System (PGRAMS) configured successfully (for backend & front-end processing for use by the State Govt.
   4. An MIS for Teachers Database developed.
   5. Web Page development for 19 Districts initiated with a target to launch by 15th August, 2001.
   6. 250 Reports generated from AIES databases for Primary & Upper Primary Schools with various types of School Buildings for submitting to Eleventh Finance Commission.
   7. Computerisation and Web Site Development initiative taken up for the office of the Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Assam.
   8. Study of LAN requirements started for Forensic Science Laboratory, Govt of Assam.
2. Training
   1. "Application Development using Java" during July 2-6, 2001.
   2. "Fundamentals of IT" during July 10-12, 2001.
   3. "Application Development using MS-Access" during July 17-21, 2001
   4. "Application Development using ORACLE 7.0" during July 23-27, 2001
3. Co-ordination Activities
   1. Installation of Secretariat LAN continuing.
4. Other Activities
   1. Made a presentation to the Chief Minister on the activities of NIC in the State on 11-07-2001.
   2. Made a presentation in the Seminar on E-Governance at Guwahati organized by the North East Information Technology Association(NEITA) inaugurated by the Chief Minister and with Sh Subir Hari Singh, Jt Secy(MIT) as the Key note Speaker.
   3. Got the Sites for the Second Phase of the CIC Project inspected by the DIOs.
