Activity Report: December 2001

Assam State Unit

  1. Projects
    1. Demo given on RuralSoft to Director (RD).
    2. Started study for preparation of SRS for NERAMAC.
    3. The on-line Pension Bill processing module of the Treasury Accounting system has been implemented in another treasury.
    4. Digitization going on of village maps for Kamrup District.
    5. System Administration
      • RAS (Remote Access Server) has been installed with only one dial in line in the state unit.
      • Microsoft .NET framework has been configured with the windows 2000 server at ASU. A demo software using Passport SDK2.1 has been successfully made and configured on the .NET platform as a test Passport Site. SOAPToolkit2.0 has been used for making a TEST site under .NET platform using .aspx ( Visual studio .NET ) framework.
  2. Training
    1. IT Module of the Training Programme for IAS Officers of 6-9 years of Seniority at Assam Administrative Staff College during Dec 3-7, 2001. (16 participants)
  3. Other Activities
    1. Inputs for the Training Calendar of the next year prepared and sent to NIC HQ.
    2. Inputs for Annual Report 2001-2002 & Performance Budget 2002-2003 prepared and sent to NIC HQ.
    3. Hardware Maintenance Review Meeting conducted at the State Unit for all NE States during Dec 12-13,2001.
    4. SIO participated in a one-day Seminar on Application of IT in the Government for the Ministers & Senior Officers of the State Govt. on 7-12-2001 at Assam Administrative Staff College.
