Activity Report: August 2001

1. Projects
1. Websites developed for all 23 districts of Assam. These were formally inaugurated by various Ministers on the Independence Day.
2. System Development continuing for the District Industry Centres.
3. System Development continuing for the Commercial Taxes Sector.
4. Development of a web-enabled H/W maintenance system is underway. It also includes a module for CIC reporting.
5. The Website for Gauhati Medical College is uploaded to the temmporary site. To be launched and formally inaugurated in September.
6. S/W development underway with regional language support (GISTSDK) for building up the National Register of Citizenship(NRC) database in a few districts of Assam on a pilot basis.
7. Installation and testing of the on-line Pension Bill Processing sub-system at three threasuries started.
8. Customised and implemented a Payroll Package at the Directorate of Field Publicity.
9. Software development underway for a Dak Management System in the office of the Chief Minister of Assam.

3. Other Activities
1. Accounts Section has reconciled the expenditure for April & May,2001 using the web-enabled system implemented by the PAO's office.
2. Also action has been initiated to adjust the incomplete accounts of the Indian Overseas Bank after the switch-over to Bank of India.
3. Participated in the NEBITA meeting on 17-08-2001 over VC and ensured participation by the State Govt., CGM(BSNL) & Director(STPI).
4. Participated in the Land Records Review Meeting over VC and ensured participation by Commissioner(Revenue), Govt of Assam.
5. Visited Imphal during Aug 23-25 and submitted Investigation Report on the VC Studio burning case.
6. SCPC data modem alnogwith the Router got installed.
