An ordinary day at Customer Service Counter

PLI Customer Service Centre is offering its service relating to both Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) policies to its customers since the installation of computer system at PLI section, Chief Post Master General's Office, Assam Circle, loacted at Meghdoot Bhawan, Guwahati. This centre briefs interested person willing to open PLI/RPLI policy, about the benefits from different policies, premia to be paid for a particular target amount etc.

Existing policyholders in relation to their policies too get benefits from this centre viz.

• Loan Facilities available to the policyholders.
• Settlement of Death, Maturity and Surrender Claims.
• Transfer and Revival of Policies.
• Survival Benefits that is accredited to the policyholders.

Though the PLI section was always friendly to its customers, a full-fledged service at a single point was only possible after installation of computer terminal at its service center.
