The Information & Facilitation Counter and Grievance Cell was inaugurated in the ground floor of the Deputy Commissioner's Office on 9th August 2001. One computer was installed and an educated youth has been engaged as data entry operator. This cell has been manned by one office assistant recruited from the existing staff of the Deputy Commissioner's Office.
Complaints and grievances are received everyday by the Deputy Commissioner from public and such complaints are forwarded to the concerned officials. The petitions are analyzed by various district level committees like the District Level Monitoring and Review Committee, Land Advisory Committee, Revenue Collection Committee, IT Advisory Committee, Mouza Inspection etc, and by the Deputy Commissioner and his deputies.
Also this office is facilitating visitors with necessary guidance, educating with government procedures or helping to contact the concerned officials for immediate action.
Once a petition is lodged, a receipt is issued to the petitioner. Depending upon the merit of the complaint/grievances, a suitable date is given when the petitioner can enquire about it's status. Complaints are also entertained through e-mail.
