Situated in the Lounge next to the main entrance of the Gauhati High Court, the Inspection and Information Counter was inaugurated on 1st April, 1999. Since then, this counter is catering to the various case related information needs to the advocates, litigants, general public, government officials as well as all other concerned.

Earlier, one has to sweat around different sections of this High Court for a small piece of information. With the starting of this counter, the same information can be provided within a few seconds. This is possible because:

• Most of the case-related information is stored in a single server.
• On-Line Case filing being done through computer terminal.
• Updation of the information is carried out in a day-to-day basis.
